Jail administrators achieve new certifications | 911

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Two captains and a major with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility Administration recently received new certifications, according to Sergeant J.J. Brewer.

Major Lise Ruefle and Captain Lachlan MacNeish successfully completed the examination process to obtain certified jail manager status with the American Jail Association. Also, Captain Ken Sarvis achieved the correctional trainer certification with the American Jail Association.

In addition, the following deputies and detention officers received certified jail officer status:
