WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – According to a statement from officials with Liberty Senior Living, a $42 million retirement community will be going into Wilmington’s Autumn Hall subdivision.

The Department of Insurance recently authorized the group to start accepting deposits for the residence, which will be known as Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall.

When built, Carolina Bay is said to offer both independent and assisted living options, as well as nursing options. It will also host a pool, fitness center, a market, beauty salon and more.

Construction of the community is set to start in 2013, and is estimated to be completed by the spring of 2014.

Carolina Bay reportedly won’t require an initial entry fee for those who wish to become residents.

The community will also offer equity and rental-based options.
