WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) - Volunteers are needed to held get disabled veterans, athletes, and children back in action on Wrightsville Beach with a surf camp hosted by AmpSurf, according to a press release
The AmpSurf program has been on tour nationally for nine years so far, and Thursday, July 19, they will be hosting their Learn to Surf clinic at access 4.
The event is free to those who sign up, but many volunteers are needed to make the event possible.
Surf experience is not needed to volunteer.
The AmpSurf mission is P.I.E.R. -- they aim to promote, inspire, educate, and rehabilitate people with disabilities; mainly veterans.
The company recently received permits from the town of Wrightsville Beach to host the event there.
AmpSurf is a California-based company.
