WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – The Crystal Pier in Wrightsville Beach could be reopened, pending approval by the town’s Board of Aldermen.
Representatives of the Oceanic Restaurant will present to the board why the restaurant/pier needs a conditional use permit. The goal is to restore the pier and add more seating to the restaurant’s outside area.
The proposal will be discussed at a public hearing at Thursday night’s Aldermen meeting. The restaurant’s General Manager would not comment on the issue.
Town Manager Bob Simpson said it is likely that the public hearing will remain open until April.
