WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) - An old skate ramp in Wrightsville Beach got a new home in Wilmington last month, and a YouTube video uploaded recently shows the process.
Jim Mincher was the owner of a skate ramp in Wrightsville Beach for more than 15 years, but after the town told him to take it down, he was left with very few options. Eventually, Mincher decided to donate it to the Brigade Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington.
The video shows the ramp being moved across town and reassembled in its new home, along with a ribbon cutting once the move is complete.
At the end of the video, a big group of smiling kids from the Boys and Girls Club are seen welcoming the skate ramp.
The video was directed by LJ Woodard of the Performance Club Studio Theater for Young Actors.
