Learn to play tennis in a wheelchair | Community Spirit

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services and the Greater Wilmington Tennis Association are teaming up to sponsor a 10-week wheelchair tennis clinic this summer.

All experience levels are welcome to take part in the free clinic and there is no limit on how many players can participate.

The clinic will begin with basic instruction from local tennis pro Rosanne Boswell in wheelchair tennis to prepare participants for tournament play. Tennis rackets will be provided for those who do not have their own and at least three sport chairs will be available for the players.

The clinic begins July 10 and will run through September 18 (no clinic August 28). The sessions will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays at Ogden Park in Wilmington.
