Town manager expects big crowds this weekend | Community Spirit

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – It’s too early to determine specific numbers in regards to the holiday tourism at Wrightsville Beach, but Town Manager Bob Simpson believes the crowds are bigger this year than last.

The town measures crowds by parking revenues, trash collections and parking lot numbers and Simpsons says it’s been quite busy so far.

With the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday, Simpson was surprised to see the beaches so crowded. He anticipates this weekend to be even busier than last.
