NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office received a grant from the Good Shepherd Foundation for their Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program, according to a news release.
The program teaches fifth and sixth graders to say no to violence, gangs, bullying, drugs, and alcohol.
The Good Shepherd Foundation gave t-shirts to all campers, mentors, and adults participating in the G.R.E.A.T. Safe Summer Camp.
