NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Airlie Gardens will soon be offering a kayak eco-tour program of the Bradley Creek Tidal Marsh, according to a news release.
It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
The tour, in partnership with Hook, Line & Paddle, aims to focus on the flora, fauna and ecosystem of Bradley Creek, along with coastal conservation issues. Other topics to be discussed will include bird watching, oyster reef restoration and more.
Only 12 people will be able to tour at one time, and a minimum of 6 people are needed to run the tour. The cost is $50, and that includes a personal flotation device, use of a kayak and paddle, a snack and an instructor.
Boats will be departing from the Airlie dock.
