WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – The Town of Wrightsville Beach has received a $6,000 grant to use towards buying sand wheelchairs to use on the beach.
According to a press release, the wheelchairs will be provided free of charge for anyone who is in need of the service.
The Quality of Life grant was donated by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Wrightsville Beach received one of 76 grants awarded by the foundation.
Town leaders said they are thankful for the money to be able to enhance the quality of life for people living with disabilities.
