Wrightsville Beach police chief to shed light on internal investigation | Crime

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – Wrightsville Beach Police Chief Dan House and Town Manager Bob Simpson will hold a press conference Tuesday morning to address the issues regarding an investigation into three officers.

During the press conference, House and Simpson are expected to talk about the actions being taken against the officers that were placed on administrative leave January 30, 2012.

According to Simpson, the officers were placed on leave pending the resolution of an investigation that started in mid-December when officials received an internal complaint.

The names of the officers have not been released, but at least one of those officers has been classified as a supervisor.

Little information has been released regarding the investigation, but House said it involves incidents that have the potential to impact ongoing police investigations. He said the probe involves multiple incidents that may have violated policies and procedures.
