NHC Dive team finds money in Banks Channel

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wrightsville Beach Police Department charged a young man for stealing a boat and money.

According to police, Logan Cain, 21, of Wilmington is accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money from a home on Sunday, June 24.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Dive Team searched the shore waters of Banks Channel near Waynick Blvd. and recovered a bank bag containing some of the stolen money.

Cain was charged with felony larceny, felony larceny of a boat and property damage.
