Area restaurants to participate in Fire on the Dock dining competition | Events

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – Thanks in part to shows like Iron Chef and Top Chef, a statewide food competition, called the Competition Dining Series, is taking place again soon across North Carolina.

The competition spans across a few different regions in the state, and the contest specifically for the Wilmington area is called Fire on the Dock.

The contest means that things will be heating up in Wrightsville Beach soon as chefs from several area restaurants compete against another to make top-notch meals for a panel of judges.

This year, all Fire on the Dock battles will be held at Bluewater Waterfront Grill at 7 p.m.

The battles will take place from Feb. 18 to April 3.
