WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – A residential parking district in a portion of Harbor Island was approved by the Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen, according to a news release from the Town of Wrightsville Beach.
The parking district will extend from Island Drive and Coral Drive to Banks Channel, the release stated. Wrightsville Beach residents, with a valid permit, will have access to roadside parking within the district between March 1-October 31, during the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and between 1 and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Residential parking permits are issued annually and limited to two per residence and can be obtained for $25 each from Lanier Parking Services. The release stated, parking permits that have already been purchased by Harbor Island residents are in compliance with the new ordinance § 74.45, which can be viewed on the Town of Wrightsville Beach website.
