Two homes in gated community broken into | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - As the holidays approach, Wilmington Police have message for local residents – no neighborhood is immune to burglaries.

Two homes were recently broken into in Landfall, a gated community.

Police say thieves came in through a locked screened-in porch on Dye Place and ransacked the property.

The owners were out of town and came back home to find their house had been trashed. It's unclear at this time what was taken.

Another homeowner on Regatta Drive was robbed of jewelry and coins, where thieves kicked in a back door.

The robberies happened within the past week.
